The web site for the Kentucky Crime Prevention Coalition is a great reference site filled with useful information about how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

 

However, there are sections of this site that urge citizens to NOT own firearms.

 

As a person, I stand in strong disagreement to these sections of the KCPC web site.

 

As the Chief of Police, I have reviewed all sections of the KCPC site, and I believe that the valuable information on this site outweighs the few sections that contain the errant anti-gun ownership messages.

 

Appropriate steps have been taken to compel the KCPC to remove the incorrect sections regarding firearms ownership.  It is our hope that they will soon correct these errors.  In the mean time, please visit the site and use the other information there to your advantage.
